How do I know that the app is secure?
Information is transferred in one direction only when you scan a Gratus Logo. The information tells the app where to send the tip so Gratus can ensure that it is received by the correct person. Our hardware is encrypted and password protected. No information can be transmitted from your phone to the secure chips that are embedded in the logos.

Does my tip get converted into the local currency?
All deposits to the Gratus platform will be in U.S. dollars. Gratuitants will have the option of receiving their tips in U.S. dollars or their local currency.
Do I get charged a fee for using the service?
Tip givers will not be charged a fee. Gratuitants will be charged a small fee. We anticipate that in the future, we will offer tip givers the option of paying this fee in order that Gratuitants can receive their tips free of charge.
